I use this distortion pedal for my bass guitar and it sounds awesome. The "boost" gets very noisy but I've discovered I get awesome bass tones out of this for things like Tool/Muse. This is a really good, inexpensive guitar pedal that'll make your bass sound dirty af.
I've owned a bunch of these.... I tend to leave them places and never pick them back up. I recently got another one of these with a nice fresh switch just for some nostalgia. I remember back in the 90s preferring the regular, 2 knob fx55 though. This is NOT a DS1, its roe like a boosted up OD250 onc rack. Awful effect. Everyone needs one.
