Greg Lake playing an Epiphone El Captain Acoustic Electric 4 string bass. This came from his MySpace page that he apparently no longer uses. These acoustic basses are sought after for their quality, tone, and playability at an accessible price. This happens to be the earlier model before the cutaway body configured was phased in. Beautiful maple top, back and sides along with a carefully set maple neck. The tone woods are nicely selected with bright, clear grain and remarkable bass response and resonance. Tied together with tasteful binding/inlays. Very comfortable to play with a 34" neck scale and fairly low action for buttery movement and bounce. The electronics sound wonderful with clear, punchy and even projection from the piezo transducer underneath the saddle. Includes a parametric EQ.more
