The Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top is my 'bread 'n butter' guitar! From the stage to the studio and from jazz to rock this guitar has solid tone with a enough character to fill many styles. With great hardware, amazing finishing, ease of play and fret reach as well as a reasonable price, this particular Les Paul is a great all-round electric guitar.
I have been playing this guitar for over 2 years now and it’s been treating me really well. It’s a great mid-range guitar for people that can’t afford the 1,000$ guitars. However recently I tried out a Gibson les paul standard and the obvious difference it certainly there. The fretboard feels smoother the pickups are cleaner and most important the tone is better. Recently whenever I play past the 12th fret I lose allot of tone which the Gibson at the store didn’t. To round this review up, Great mid-range guitar but just not quiet the Gibson.
