Gibson writes [in this article](http://www2.gibson.com/news-lifestyle/features/en-us/trini-lopez-0610-2011.aspx), "To some, Trini Lopez is just a name on two of Gibson’s coolest signature guitars. Dave Grohl, Noel Gallagher, The Edge and Andy Bell all love their Gibson Trini Lopez models."more
In this promotional photo, Noel Gallagher can be seen holding a red Gibson Trini Lopez electric guitar. In an interview where he talks about his gear and guitars on his band High Flying Birds, when asked about using the Trini Lopez, Noel Gallagher says, "I haven't used the Trini Lopez on a track since Don't Believe The Truth, and the Sheraton I haven't used since Morning Glory, really." The other person in the photo is [Gem Archer](http://equipboard.com/pros/gem-archer). "Also not to exclude the Gibson fans out of the mid to late 60's party we are having on this fine Friday afternoon. Here is a quartet of custom color Gibson guitars from 1965 thru 1968. Left to Right: 67 Black Trini Lopez, 65 Pelham Blue EB-OF, 68 SG in unfaded Pelham Blue and thanks to my friends Trevor and Jay a killer 68 sparkling Burgundy unfaded as well ES-335 TD. Enjoy!"more
"This is my main guitar, a 1967 Trini Lopez with a Bigsby fitted. I have two and they are very similar. I bought the first one in LA while I was in Oasis. Noel borrowed it and used it onstage for one of our tours. When it got shipped home to me in Sweden after a year of touring around the world with no problems, it arrived at my front door in two pieces! Baggage handlers had dropped it from some crazy height on it’s journey home. The happy ending to the story is that I had it repaired by my friend, the guitar builder Phillipe Dubreuille, and it now stays in tune for longer and sounds better than it ever did. And you can’t see the repair at all. back in Ride I used to use a Les Paul whenever I wasn’t playing a 12 string. This guitar will be used for all those songs."more
This was the first good guitar I ever bought back in 1982, from the Music Junction in Latrobe terrace in Paddington in Brisbane. Mine is a 1966, I bought it from a Canadian guy named John who I think owned the store. I don't have the original pickups or the tail piece, I've got some vintage Seymour Duncan's instead, which were in the Guitar when I bought it all those years ago. You'll have to prise this guitar from my cold dead fingers.
