"No longer playing the guitar, since Mick Abrahams had by then joined the band, I rounded out the musical trio of ’68 instruments with a Hohner blues harmonica, the Marine Band single reed version which, as I quickly learned, you had to suck more than blow to get the blues thing happening." - [http://jethrotull.com/the-attic/musical-instruments/ian-anderson/](Ian Anderson).more
I've owned three things most of my life since I was 18 years old. A guitar, synthesizers, and Hohner harmonicas. No reason to ever buy any other brand. I also own a Hohner Blues Bender harmonica.
This Marine Band in C is durable and sounds so sweet. If you smoke or used to smoke (whatever you smoked), it's good to play harmonica to strengthen your lungs. As Bob Dylan has demonstrated, among many others, harmonica and guitar go together like tuna sandwiches and potato chips.
Get funky with it, bluesy, or avant garde. But add a Hohner Marine Band C to your gear right now. I command you! LOL
If you wanna be a good harmonica player, this is a good option. Sweet tone, versatile, easy slide and it's feel great in your lips. The bad thing is the rivets, because it's to hard to clean or repair.
