The fact Ibanez was able to make a good, playable 7 string for this price, just shows how good they are when it comes to planning their production lines. The pickups are lacking in the cleans, but surprisingly good and responsive with distortion. I would not recommend downtuning below drop A, there after the tone will suffer. My only problem with these guitars is the bridge. It's fixed and stable, but mine has a tendency to eat through the strings at the saddles. Expect to be replacing your strings qutie often if you pick as hard as I do. Overall a great guitar for its price.
This was an X-mas gift from my father so I could make deathcore riffs. I do that, but I mainly use this to make ANY riffs for my band and then translate it as needed. This axe already starts off heavy, blew my mind!!
A wonderful budget option, clean sound it is not the best, but should enable distortion and the sound will be more than sufficient. Poplar dazh good middle (which only loses a little linden)
