More Instruments, Effects and Tools Than Ever
Image Line FL Studio 12 Signature Edition DAW software serves up all of the awesome production power of FL Studio Producer Edition, plus even more outstanding instruments and effects to spur your creativity right from the start. Like the Harmless software synthesizer, a fresh take on subtractive synthesis that sounds amazingly smooth and fat. And Gross Beat, a time and volume effect for creating gating, scratching and glitch effects. In all you get eight additional tools for sound creation and shaping with Image Line FL Studio 12 Signature Edition, making it easy to recommend to any electronic music producer.
What's new in FL Studio 12?
The improved interface scaling in FL Studio 12 means you'll always be able to view your session easily, no matter what screen size or resolution you're using. If you have a touchscreen you can use multi-touch gestures to control the mixer for a hands-on mixing experience. You can browse sounds faster with new category tabs, and many menus have been moved to more convenient locations based on user feedback. Step sequences are now interchangeable with piano rolls, which makes it easier to switch between the two when you're using both to create your music. There are also dozens of UI and file management improvements to make sure FL Studio 12 doesn't get in the way when you're following your muse.
Tons of virtual instruments
With FL Studio 12 Signature Edition, you can make virtually any sound. Right inside the box, you get 14 virtual synthesizers, giving you great-sounding acoustic/synth bass, electric guitar and plucked strings, sampler tools including a piano, beat-slicing, and tons more. And whether you're looking for traditional instrumentation or electronic excitement, FL Studio 12's powerful browser makes it easy to search sounds by category.
Fully-featured music production environment
FL Studio 12 Signature Edition's flexible audio tools let you pitch-shift, beat-slice, time-stretch, chop, and edit your audio, while the enhanced Edison Wave Editor offers spectral analysis, convolution reverb, loop-recording, and more. Plus, each track can include up to eight effects, and can be routed to any of the other audio tracks. A range of effects are already included right in the box to inspire your creativity and put the polish on your mixes - you'll enjoy giving your tracks everything from delay, distortion, EQ, filtering, phasing, flanging, chorus, vocoding, and reverb. "Aimed at people who are looking for a feature-rich bundle of FL Studio. Signature Bundle is a 'bundle' including FL Studio Producer Edition + a collection of our 'signature' (most advanced) FL version plugins. It's the cost effective way to get your hands on our best gear."
You had me at lifetime free updates! I hate having to pay to get the latest version on all my other software. Image-Line not only makes a killler DAW, they show they love their users in the process. Best of both worlds!
I really like FL Studio. The price is a lot cheaper than other DAWs to purchase the "full version" (technically producer edition, anything above that is a bundle of producer and additional plugins). The stock plugins are great, you get Sytrus, one of the most powerful FM synths and Maximus, one of the most powerful compressors. FL is an extremely competent DAW that will remain a staple in my productions as long as I am producing
Signature has more vst's and effects included in its bundle but has the same architecture as producer. This Daw requires a lot of learning to produce something and doesn't follow the conventional Daw workflow but once learnt it comes into its own it has one of the best piano rolls in any daw ive ever used.. It comes with some great vst's synths effects etc, and this Daw can also be used as a vst third party daw in your primary daw so it has its pluses. Its midi instrument definitions are none existent unfortunately. I'd say this Daw is really cut out for the musician who uses mainly vst's not midi . If your new to DAW,s this one takes a bit off learning but when mastered it delivers.
People dis' this DAW and I don't see why, sporting the best piano roll, Hands down. Making music on FL is easy and enjoyable. when I left windows for Linux this was the one app I knew I would miss.
surprise surprise... works in wine.
While often waved off as a beginner's software, I assure you FL Studio is anything but. While more modular in layout, and a bit flashy in graphics, Image-Line has created a powerhouse. It comes down to skill, like with any DAW. It's accessible for both beginners and advanced producers. Don't let it's sleek look deceive you, FL Studio is some of the most finely-crafted audio production software out there. 10 // 10
