Synyster Gates' guitar tech, Za, talks about Syn's use of the Marshall JVM205H in this video at 1:30, saying, "Gates plays through a 50W Marshall JVM205H I like, it's pretty versatile. You can crank them and you can get a lot of gain out of them. Because they are using in-ears, they don't have to be super loud on stage."more
Not at all (laughs). The thing is, I’m very conservative and traditional. I’ve played the one guitar I always wanted to play, let’s put it like that. I’ve done the Gibson Les Paul customs for many years now and I play them through a Marshall amp, which I think is the most classic and the best-sounding combination you can get. But then again, new gear is coming up. We’ve also used the Kemper amps a little bit for practical reasons and also when the regular amps break down, which they do. The Kemper amp is a really good solution and substitute for it. But like I said, I’m very conservative. All I really want to have is a Gibson, a wah and a Marshall. - See more at: http://metalassault.com/Interviews/2014/12/16/in-flames-guitarist-bjorn-gelotte-talks-touring-gear-more/#sthash.9eHhRyYV.dpufmore
