Chris Martin used a Martin D-15M throughout Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto tour (2011-2012). In this video of a live Letterman performance of their song "Charlie Brown," starting a 0:55 you can get a good look at his guitar. The D-15 has been painted up to match the aesthetics of the Mylo Xyloto tour.more
On Martin's official website bio on Panic! at the Disco, it states that the band's preferred guitar (and one that is seen being played by Brendon on most acoustic videos) is the D15-M. However, many think that it is the Martin 000-15 that Brendon plays, but if you look closely at the body design between the one Brendon uses and the 000-15, the 000-15's curves are more defined, unlike the D15-M which has a 'fatter' body that matches the one Brendon uses.more
"Like many of his singer-songwriter contemporaries, Ben’s choice of acoustic guitar falls to Martin. ‘I’ve got two DM-15 models which are really great for playing in open tunings and I’ve also got a smaller bodied model, which I drew on,’ he laughs. ‘Martin are gorgeous guitars that have songs already in them. I’m sure that anyone who picks up a Martin will realise that. As soon as you pick it up you just want to play it. I take the small-bodied Martin and the two DM-15s on the road with me." - Leftwich in an Interview with Acoustic Magazine (http://www.acousticmagazine.com/interviews/benjamin-francis-leftwich/)more
"Elysium is one of the first songs I wrote experimenting with different tunings. I wrote the song on my Martin D-15 and have always loved how well those guitars respond to open tunings.” - Andrew Davie via Martin's Facebook in 2015 (https://www.facebook.com/martinguitar/photos/a.439779828650.221846.92346623650/10153222335423651/?type=1&theater)more

Since I've been playing the 000-M15 for 3 years I've felt that I needed a bigger body guitar. After looking at some D18's and D28's I was reassured that the all-mahogany sound is really the sound for me and so I just got the D15 and was perfectly satisfied. Now I'm playing one or the other and always have a very good back-up.
Used in a lot of shows and its really constant. Bright colorful sound and really always never lets me down! Its big bucks for the beginners but i recommend it to any strings player. Only problem is the wood gets scratched with hard material so watch out with capos in the cases or other things! Over all its really good for any one to use!
