I have two CDJ-2000s, now saving up for this... but I dunno, thinking about switching to an Ableton-based live setup...
I would think you would want more midi-friendly devices, like the APC's and MPC's for Ableton
You DJ with Ableton and an APC40? How do you like that setup? Honestly been contemplating selling my CDJs if I find a controller-based rig I like. The Native Instruments stuff looks SO sleek and fun, I'm looking into how a setup might look like with the F1/X1/Z1/etc.
I like it a lot. I have an effect rig on each of my channels, so if I want to do any effects, I just switch channels. It makes it a lot easier for live playing, instead of just playback. I mean, if you're more into playback DJing, then the CDJ's would be perfect, but then Ableton is wasted. Ableton really shines with the session view and the ability to easily manipulate clips and samples. So the MPC 40 is great for that. Madeon uses the Novation Launch pad, however he is working with a ton clips at once.
Inspired on the svm, pioneer really set the bar high with this ultimate tool. Perfect in every way, and one of the most fun mixers to play with.
This would be amazing to own.
All of the things! Best part about it is there are even better ways to do all of the things!
Simply a mad scientist's laboratory...
Let the concoctions begin!
This is the DJ mixer that we use when playing at clubs! Amazing mixer, we think the 900's effects system is better though!
Very feature rich mixer great for most DJs, however for turntablist maybe too much real estate to maneuver.
the knobs move smooth which make it easier to use and it isn't that complex as it may look once you get the hang of it
In combination with the cdj 2000 nxs it's the best
