I have a system 45. It is the first modular synthesizer that I have ever purchased and like the ms-20 mini it has taught me a lot about sound design. I have actually been able to create some of my fattest leads with this thing. I feel like I try to use modular synths to create a lot more mainstream of sounds than people who usually use modular. However, it should be stated this thing is a tool for EDM producers all over. You can make abstract tech house sounds, deep basses for deep house, and trap and electro house leads. However, I think some days this thing makes better sound than other days with the exact same patching, it really confuses me, but it has a mind and sound of its own. I love what pittsburgh modular is doing with their newer modules too!
I purchased it installed into a move case (rather than the small rack it comes in by default) and expanded my modular from there. Great starting point but you will want more HPs.
