I went to my local guitar shop thinking of getting an Epiphone SG as my second, and higher quality, guitar. When I got there i noticed they had a wide range of Schecters, a brand which I hadn't hear too much about before. I thought I'd give it a try just out of interest and, within the price range, it played miles better than any other guitar I tried, the neck profile is perfect for me and the neck as a whole is just nice (I don't know the technical stuff). The action is low but with little to no fret buzz. Just from playing it acoustic I was pretty much sold. I tried it through an amp, the pickups aren't stupidly high output as I had feared, they are actually very versatile! The cleans sound great, with some EQ'ing the crunch tones are good and the heavier sounds are obviously great! Overall, at this price point I think Schecter are miles better than the competition in value and, after owning this guitar for nearly two years, nothing has gone wrong with it and I don't regret buying it at all!
