In [this image from a studio session](http://www.effectsbay.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/rsmith17uq.jpg), Smith is adjusting the parameters on a pedal. His Bootzilla fuzz-wah can be seen on the far-left side of the picture, and is easily identifiable due to the color and shape of the tread.more
"I don’t normally use pedals, but I’ve been doing this sort of experimental/psychedelic project with Brian Kassan (who I played with in the band Chewy Marble). For that, I’ve been using the Bootzilla Snarling Dogs Bass Wah Wah, Boss Bass Overdrive, Digitech Digidelay and a Behringer Ultra Tremelo pedal."more
The Fuzz is okay, not a lot of character. The wah, even though has a lot of knobs for tone control, really isn't that great. I prefer the Dunlop Bass Wah. The Fuzz and Wah together is terrible, just a muttled mess. It looks cool, but is style over substance. Tends to have some hiss. Bootsy is a legend, but he'll put his name on anything to make a buck. Last time I check, even Bootsy isn't using this on his board.
