The guitar is not outstanding but it did a marvellous job as my first electric. It's cheap and you can get a really nice sound for the price. After some 5 years of severe abuse I noticed that the jack input started to come loose but a really quick fix with a screwdriver did the job. If you buy it and hope to perform with it, its perfectly fine but I strongly recommend that you mod it. Get some better tuning machines, experiment round with gear(consider spending an extra buck for some really good pickups, I used Seymur Duncan on mine) and replace the strings, fix the action (height of the strings from the fingerboard) etc. as necessary at your local guitar store or a luthier (guitar/ stringed instruments maker). This will really improve the guitar sound personalise it. However if you are looking for a guitar that will do more than just practice and some performances its better to just buy a better guitar (probably more expensive- sorry) and still mod it (especially Fenders!)
