I do alot of collabs with other producers who use Logic so I have to have this DAW as well. This is my 2nd fav DAW next to Ableton
“I switch between Logic and occasionally Cubase or Ableton depending on the studio I’m working in. I tend to create ideas in Logic while in transit and then use Cubase when it comes to mixing down back in the studio in LA. Ableton is great for timestretching, changing pitch or making shorter edits of tracks people have sent me.”more

“It’s just easier I think, although the multi-window thing kind of puts me off as there’s so much that you have to do with your mouse. My arm hurts just by thinking about Cubase. “Right now I’m in a transitional phase - I’m thinking of switching to Logic. At the beginning, Cubase was a very easy way to get into music production, instead of FruityLoops or Acid, or whatever was available, and I thought Cubase was going to be as smooth on Mac as PC, but the program quits unexpectedly at least five times per day, which makes me want to throw it out the window.”more
Fever Ray stated she uses a plugin that is only available for Steinberg Cubase in the studio, posted on PitchFork.com during an interview. "Pitchfork: While we're talking about the sound and the recording, I'm sure you've been asked this question way too many times, but how do you achieve that effect on your vocals? KDA: There are so many software programs that you can use. But I actually bought a physical machine, a TC-Helicon Live, which is very fun to use. But I also use the Steinberg VoiceMachine software plugin, which I think is also good. But with the Helicron machine, you can do like four harmonies at the same time, so I use it in "Concrete Walls"."more
