This bass is gorgeous. It is my first electric solid body. It is also a 32" medium scale which is fast and easy to play. It is light at 7.7 pounds. The body is Alder and a natural satin finish.
I have had noise issues with the pick ups. The first set went hyper phonic after a year and were replaced under warranty (2 year warranty). The second set are noisy. Being a newbie I didn't realize single coil pick ups can be so noisy. I'll be replacing these with noiseless pickups recommended from Warwick's custom shop in Nashville.
The circuitry is passive with volume/balance/tone bridge/tone neck controls. It comes with Warwick's security lock strap system which is pretty cool. Keeps the straps from coming off as well as a quick release when you want to take them off.
I went for the medium scale as it was a good fit between my 34" acoustic/electric basses and my short scale 30.5" electric hollow body.
