It's a very solid bass guitar with powerful pickups. You can choose a 60s classic sound or something more aggressive and bright by pushing/pulling one of the knobs. It's a Billy Sheehan signature model - so I guess you can trust it! - that's about a mixture of his old Yamaha BB bass and the Attitude bass guitar. Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath has a similar model. It's a very pretty bass guitar. People complain abut the difficulty to execute slaps because of the neck pickup. Well, in my opinion it's pure stupidity, since the slap isn't the only "hot shot superbassman" technique in the world - and some bassists seems to think that it is - and if you want slaps you can comfortably do it. It's just a matter of get used to the guitar and it's construction.
