The Yamaha DGX650B is an 88-key keyboard that sounds and plays like a real piano. Don't spend the money on a keyboard that sounds like a toy when you could have a real instrument. The DGX650B is sampled from a Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand, and at this price, you won't find a more realistic-sounding keyboard. The Damper DSP digitally reproduces the sympathetic vibration of strings. And, there is USB recording and playback and an AUX line input. As close as you can get to the real thing- the Yamaha DGX650B.
Realistic features just like an acoustic piano
Close your eyes while you're playing the Yamaha DGX650B and you won't know it isn't a real piano. Yamaha has gone out of their way to make this keyboard as realistic as possible. The Damper Resonance DSP digitally reproduces the sympathetic vibration of strings when the damper pedal is used. And, the 88 notes of this keyboard are weighted for heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the highs, just like an acoustic piano. Plus, the 128-note polyphony provides enough memory for layering two voices and playing two-handed, sustained chords.
Easy-to-use built-in recorder
The USB Audio (WAV) Recording/Playback function of the DGX650B captures uncompressed audio to your USB drive. This is a great way to listen to your practice sessions and keep track of all the progress your making after endless hours in front of your keyboard. Or, you could use the Yamaha DGX650B as a tool for songwriting. There's nothing worse than writing the next big hit and forgetting it the next day. Just drop your USB drive into your computer and you can share your recordings by CD, social media, or your mobile device.
Loaded with fun and useful tools
The Yamaha DGX650B is a great alternative to an acoustic piano because of its amazing realism, and it's also loaded with cool features that only a Yamaha keyboard can provide. For example, the DGX650B is XG-optimized for "You Are The Artist," a series of books and companion song files that make it easy and fun to learn new songs. You just select a song to play from your "You Are The Artist" book and select the song file in your Yamaha for instant accompaniment. Learn some of your favorite songs by Elton John, Taylor Swift, or Coldplay, all with your own backing band.
I am extremely picky when it comes to sound. This digital piano has a nice warm full sound, just like a real grand. You can also play a live grand piano. This digital piano comes with hundreds of different instruments and is very good for the price. I have tried other pianos a little above the asking price for this one and it wasn't even comparable. I give this a two thumbs up! ;)
