Edwin Evers is quoted on the Cook's website as saying, "What I love the most about my Cook's GO-TO Tackle Storage System is it allows me to utilize unused space in my boat. The system makes my jigs, spinnerbaits and plastics very accessible and within easy reach very quickly. At a glance, I can see the color of my spinner baits and my jig skirts. This saves me valuable time, which allows me to make more casts on tournament day." His official website also shows photos of him using the Cook's Go-To in black.

Edwin Evers uses the Wooly Bug in Cajun Neon, Black/Blue Shadow and Big O Craw. Evers is talks about the lure colors in a Bassmaster interview. "That covers all my different water clarities," Evers said. "Anytime you are flipping those things, it is stained or murky water; which you choose just depends on how muddy it is. I’ll start off with the Cajun Neon, and as it gets muddy, I’ll go to the Black/Blue Shadow."

Edwin Evers talks about why he likes the Money Craw in the River Craw color on his website. "The trailer is one of the most important aspects of the bait. A lot of times I want a trailer that has a lot of action but isn't too big or bulky - my all-around favorite is the YUM Money Craw. The legs on the Money Craw produce the perfect swimming action and the colors match great. If you get a trailer that's too big or bulky, you'll end up missing a lot of fish. I also believe speed is very critical in swimming a jig. Too big of trailer will hamper your ability to keep the jig down in the water and swimming correctly during the retrieve."

Edwin Evers' posted, "While most antennae send one to three pulses per second to the satellite, this one sends 10 per second. If you move just one foot to the left or right it registers. Oftentimes I had to make the same cast over and over to a spot the size of a bread box to get a bite, and this exact positioning device was critical."

Edwin talks about his Power-Pole shallow anchoring system by saying, "My Power Poles were critical in this event, as they are any time you’re fishing for bedding fish. I don’t know how I ever fished without them at this time of year. It was possible to catch an aggressive male bass, put the Power Poles down, and then make the exact same cast and catch the female. Without that ability I might not have caught several of the fish I weighed in."
