Joel Sartore is an American photographer, speaker, author, teacher, and is best known for being a 20-year contributor to National Geographic magazine. His first camera was a Nikon FM2 (he paid a premium for all black body). His first lens purchase was a Nikon 180mm f.28, which he used to populate his early portfolio. Since then he has gone all digital, and has quite an impressive gear collection - still sticking with Nikon.
