The extra switch next to the volume knob, amongst other things, allows you to use Osc 1 as a modulation source i.e to the VCF. It's great for alien buzzy noises.

'The build quality is as good as the MS-20 and the cables are standard mini-jack cables that work just like any other patch cable. It's easy to dismiss the Legacy controller as a toy but it's probably the most useful instrument in my studio and the luxury of having 32-voice, polyphonic MS-20 with PWM and syncable LFOs far outweighs any advantage of having a 'real' one, even if you don't take into account the ridiculous difference in price. I wouldn't swap.'

"They originally sent me a free copy when it first came out, in exchange for any technical feedback I could give them, so I dived in and really liked what I found. [...]
Tabbed projects, hybrid tracks, clips AND arrangement on the same screen, totally interconnectable and modular by design [and set to become more so, if their press is to be believed] and no fucking MAX MSP in sight! The arrange window ‘reads’ left to right, with the mixer controls on the left like EVERY other sequencer EVER [Ableton, wtf were you thinking?] and the plugin delay compensation works so well I completely forgot to think about it.
It would appear that Bitwig have been listening more attentively to Ableton Live’s user-base than Ableton have."
