very similar to the boss GE7 in all its shitty glory but with a few extra dB of cut/boost... if you can tolerate the junk switch, look at one of these over the boss because it'll be a helluva lot cheaper. This was the first EQ I owned in the 90s and I really didn't know what I was doing with it, but it didn't matter because its a worthless pedal. Noise floor is way too high making the extra gain on the bands worthless due to the hiss.
Best option out there for modeling tone and overall cut/boost of the signal for a few bucks
This oldie offers a range of cut/boost of 18 dB –Boss GE-7 offers just 15, and MXR Ten Band EQ offers just 12. The 15 dB range is enough (or even more than that!) for most of us, but then this unit got its advantage not by this quantifiable fact but for a matter of quality by offering a very quiet response that puts the usual –and usually more expensive– "let's grab the Boss one 'cos I know that brand" choice into shame while doesn't even need an awkward 18V supply like the MXR 10 Band EQ to achieve it.
