Best Display EVER!
The Korg Pitchblack is a chromatic tuning pedal with a giant, bright display that you can't miss on stage. It gets the job done pretty well, but the tuning engine seems to be borrowed from Korg's awesome rackmount tuners really could use more lights for really precise tuning in a flash. But then the pedal would get big. This tuner was also the first affordable chromatic tuning pedal to feature pop-free true bypass switching which is why I ditched my old TU-2 for it. Its faster and more accurate than the Boss and when I bought it the Pitchblack was easily the best pedal tuner that wasn't a Peterson. I since switched to the TC Polytune and gave my Pitchblack to a friend of my wife's who is always going out of tune on stage. I miss the wicked display, but the Polytune is more accurate and the at-a-glance multiple string feature of the Polytune is a real time saver.
I still highly recommend the Pitchblack.
More than you're ever going to need
The Korg Pitchblack Tuner is a chromatic tuner and, therefore, can tune basiclly any instrument that's got pickups and a p10 output jack. The screen is very intuitive and accurate - the minimum, slightest difference of pitch will be noticed and briefly showed in red. The perfect pitch, of course, is showed in green and it has 4 different screen modes (when in fact the main one is the best and only necessary). It can power other pedals just as a Boss tuner, but it's better due to a true bypass switching. It's also faster than a Boss and more precise. In fact, it is so precise that, if you play an open chord like an E or a G, it will detect the pitch. The only downsides for the pedalmaniac (me not included), when in comparison with a TC Electronic Polytune Mini, is the size and the play-all-strings-and-detect-the-out-of-pitch-one function (but the screen in the Korg is nicer and cleaner, on the other hand).
Best Tuner Out There
There's not much to be said. Calibration is easy, the display options are nice, and the thing is always on the money; I never have to worry about it giving me false readings, and it's sensitive enough to put me square on the intonation dot, unlike the Boss and Danelectro units I've had in the past that only got me close to true intonation. I have two of these for a reason.
35 euros totally worth it!
Got it for 35 euros from guy. A good price for a reliable pedal tuner. Pedal tuners are lifesavers for a lot of reasons. Really like the way it shows the tuning, you can also choose preview styles, and the fact that you can supply other pedals from it is cheat.
This is a fantastic tuner, and a great addition to my future pedal board. This pedal has 4 different display modes, inviting one to tune their strings up and down, over and over just to see the beautifully retro looking flashy lights. I have seen videos comparing different tuner stomp boxes and the KORG Pitchblack stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Korg Pitchblack true-bypass chromatic tuner
The Pitchblack is the same size as a compact effect unit, and features a tough aluminum die cast body that will endure hard use on the road or in the studio. While small in size, it boasts a large; easy to read LED meter with a light-emitting surface for excellent visibility in any setting from daylight, to stage light to no light as well as an extremely smooth eleven-segment LED meter that allows accurate visual tuning from any angle. With a red LED that indicates the tuner's on/off status, a large note name display, and a tuning guide that indicates whether your instrument is sharp or flat, you'll always be able to tune quickly and accurately in any situation. The Pitchblack provides a tuning range of E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4,186 Hz), and adjustable calibration between 436--445 Hz. - See more at: http://www.korg.com/us/products/tuners/pitchblack/page_1.php#sthash.oan18iF8.dpuf
Best tuner you could get
Its a great all round tuner. The large LeD display allows you to see the pedal on stage with smoke machines blowing in your face and strobe lights everywhere, no matter what you'll see it. its got great response to your instrument, and has the chromatic tuning option, where if you strum all the strings the display will show how in tune all you strings are, i dont use it much but its feature.
Just what it needs to be
Responsive, readable, and has power daisy chaining. It would be nice with a mode with tuning and output at the same time, but it's no big deal.
Accurate and fast. Durable too. A few added features for pedal powering. Love it!
A great little pedal that is bright and fast to tune. Not a whole lot to say-- it keeps you in tune! It also has an additional power output for effects pedals, so that's a handy feature.

Steady partner for over 10 years
Easy to use, best tuner display, really easy to read, über cool looks (best looking tuner in my honest opinion), metal housing, no struggles what so ever.
Update: switched to TC Electronics Polytune 3 because i needed a (switchable) buffer, the polytune 3 responds much faster. If Korg would make a pitchblack with (switchable) buffer and faster response time, i would buy it. :-)
