"Well, i’ve been producing music for about 4/5 years now, mainly engineering actual bands and artists not so much my own material. I started off using nothing but Cubase SX3 and Reason. But after a car accident and smashing my face up, i managed to get a nice little sum of compensation which i instantly used to invest in a nice big ol’ iMac along with logic and some other nice soft synths (NI Komplete)."more
When it comes down to real sounding instruments, nothing beats Native Instruments.
According to Native-Instruments [official site](http://www.native-instruments.com/en/komplete-professional-instruments-and-effects/artists/) James is a user of the Native Instruments KOMPLETE software package. James says "I have my Guitar Rig set up on the road with me and in my studio. I can't get over how incredible my guitars sounds through it. Guitar Rig is amazing!"more
It’s really complete :) and probably the best one to have it. So many high quality instruments, libraries and plugs for a good price.
["I started with a laptop and headphones, but I have expanded to a studio set-up that I’m pretty happy with. A pretty high-tier PC, a NI Komplete audio interface, Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones, a set of KRK studio monitors, obligatory two monitor screens not to feel limited, and an Oxygen 61 midi keyboard to speed things up."](http://kmag.uk/2014/09/17/xilent-guest-mix/)more
The software tools within Logic X that I most often use include: NI Komplete (the whole suite and samplers), NI Massive, VPS Metrum (To make kicks), Logic’s ES2, EXS24, Xfer plugins (like LFO Tool), Sylenth1, FabFilter Pro Suite, EW/QL Symphonic Samples, Voxengo SPAN, iZotope Ozone (Just for analysis, not for actual processing).more
Great sounds for days…for years!
Includes great synthesizers that are extremely flexible, and great effects as well. My only complaint is the lack of a powerful digital distortion unit (I know, Guitar Rig, but I'd like something more along the lines of Trash or Ohmicide).
I will be honest and say that there is quite a bit in the bundle I could do without. Some VSTs I have never touched, but several of the synths and samplers are on almost every project I do. I feel like anyone reading this knows the ones I am referring to. Compared to what you would have to pay only a decade ago for what less than $1k can get you is incredible!
