Trusted musician and artist reviews for Pioneer HDJ-2000 Headphones
Based on 24 Reviews

I have the HDJ 2000's but they alway fall off my head. I carry them around as a back up to my V-Modas M-100s

Great Headphones.
I bought them 2 years ago and they are fantastic. Great sound (little bit weak bass), quality - everything is well. Done. Remember: You should try them in a music store before you buy!
Don't use em often but love them
I literally always keep these in my DJ bag but forget to use them instead using my earpods more than anything. If I wanna be "that guy" I'll whip them out to produce with in starbucks or something but generally they are saved for the booth. I don't use them in my live performance though.

I recently got these, and I'll be using them when I start to do live shows soon.

They're solid
I like these a lot. I don't consider them studio-grade, super accurate headphones. But they were never made to be. They're super rugged, loud, comfortable DJ headphones ready to stand up to any thing a nightclub could throw at it. I don't DJ very much anymore, so they do make excellent general listening headphones as well (I don't always want the analytical power of my monitors/IEMs). All in all, they're a solid purchase.

Awesome headphones, 9/10 sound and 7/10 build quality
some of the best headphones out there, the mk2s are a better option though or if you want insane durability the x10s are the way to go

Perfect sound.
Definitely one of the best! very comfortable!

Highest quality headphones I've ever encountered
I've owned these headphones for the most part of what I guess is 7 or 6 years. During that time it has survived construction sites, daily commuting and thousands if not tens of thousands of hours of music. Admittedly the leather on the pads have completely worn off but other than that the headphones are still live and kicking. If something were to break Pioneer does sell individual parts for repairs, albeit they are quite expensive.
I've used the phones for all kinds of music and they do a fine job at that but it's really when it comes to electronic dance music they shine. The headphones sit comfortably on the head and they don't fall of easily (atleast from my head). The swiveling side of the headphone also helps if you want to rock the phones with one ear only. Since my use has been recreational only and not for music production I can't attest to their quality for that line of work but I can imagine that they will do a stellar job.
As a negative point I could put the price tag, but after the enormous amount of time I've gotten out of them and how much abuse they have taken I really can't complain about it. These are GREAT. If you get a chance to try them. Do so!

My LiveMixing headphones
Total classics and staples in the DJ and producing world. Sometimes you just can't bear the original you know? I'll always choose this trusty set of pioneers over any new flashy trendy pair of headphones that come out.

DJ Headphones for performing out or just listening to music at home.

Nice sound - doesn't age well
The sound is very good and build quality is very good, except for the fake leather which crumbles after a while.

Decent & Durable
These headphones will last you a lifetime, great for DJing, maneuverable and sturdy. Definitely not for studio use, but do the fuckin trick on stage i don't care how status quo they are, I've been using the same pair for fuckin four years

Good sound but
the sound is very good to mix in big floors but they usually break in the plastic parts even taking good care in a proper box.
