The most powerful and user-friendly DAW
After a very long hiatus, I am a former audio-engineer guy who was discovering and coming into the new technology and way of recording with DAW software in 2014. The one thing that attracted me to PreSonus in the day was the price-point as well as the pleasing GUI/layout/design, tutorials, and the initial ease of use for a guy just getting started. Since then, I have grown comfortable with Studio One, and I upgraded from the Producer version to Professional version in 2016. I have tried my hand working with Ableton and other DAWs, and I still prefer the layout and workflow of Studio One. It is the core of my personal studio. Especially with the release of version 4.5, the DAW is completely feature-packed.
Really great DAW for serious musicians
Version 4 is a great update to an already great DAW. The upgrades to Impact XT, SampleOne XT and Presence XT is awesome, I've also purchased the Presence XT Editor upgrade: https://shop.presonus.com/Presence-XT-Editor Enabling unlimited creative possibilities with scripting and the whole shebang. IMHO this should have been included, but, I got it for a nice price, so I figured, why not... The chord track and pattern editor are both great additions, making it easier to create beats and melodies.

A Versatile Daw
Long story short, I love it. This is the first DAW I ever spent money on. I felt it was time for me to use a real DAW (instead of shuffling trial versions of other DAWs). As with any DAW, you want something that offers a good workflow, community, and sound library. I was hesitant to spend money on this DAW, which is widely regarded as an "up-and-comer", but I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. The workflow is fantastic and the community is supportive. I am a novice producer (and that's being generous) but the functionality of this DAW has kept me motivated and invested in the process. I highly recommend this Presonus Studio One. It's not an up-and-comer. It's the real deal.
I actually use 4.5 Professional (they need to update the list I guess)
I will take the bounced stereo track or individual tracks for further mixing. I'll master in the project page. It sounds awesome! As I used to use ProTools (but not anymore), Studio One was easy to switch to as it has the same layout
Coming from logic X this daw is pretty awesome, I opened it up and figured out a few things and I was on my way to recording a brand new song idea. It's ease of use is it's biggest selling point. If you're just starting to learn recording (or you're a seasoned vet) this would be the daw i recommend!
