In Presonus blog , there's a specific article related to ATB using Studio One 4. "For what applications are you using Studio One Professional? I’m Using Studio One Professional for the entire process of creating music. Starting with composing, sound design, going over to recording, editing, mixing and also mastering, I simply do everything in Studio One. I do have three workspaces so I can work from everywhere. Most of the times I’m in my main studio in Bochum, Germany to write and produce songs for my project ATB."more
> "I've used several updates of Studio One in the past, but there's one feature that really strikes me with the newest update. Sample One XT. I love this feature so much, I'd buy it even if it were stand-alone software. You can hear the result after one click, and most things can be done in excellent speed. To be precise, I longed for an easy reverse function, and the developers have added it, so I'm really happy and excited... After trying out the newest version, I don't think there will be a cooler DAW than Studio One for a while."more
It's getting better and better. I can say this DAW is a timesaver. It can be used in world of electronic music and live music. What a great combo. Also I see that I don't need to click my mouse often to find buttons, points, etc.
After a very long hiatus, I am a former audio-engineer guy who was discovering and coming into the new technology and way of recording with DAW software in 2014. The one thing that attracted me to PreSonus in the day was the price-point as well as the pleasing GUI/layout/design, tutorials, and the initial ease of use for a guy just getting started. Since then, I have grown comfortable with Studio One, and I upgraded from the Producer version to Professional version in 2016. I have tried my hand working with Ableton and other DAWs, and I still prefer the layout and workflow of Studio One. It is the core of my personal studio. Especially with the release of version 4.5, the DAW is completely feature-packed.
I will take the bounced stereo track or individual tracks for further mixing. I'll master in the project page. It sounds awesome! As I used to use ProTools (but not anymore), Studio One was easy to switch to as it has the same layout
Coming from logic X this daw is pretty awesome, I opened it up and figured out a few things and I was on my way to recording a brand new song idea. It's ease of use is it's biggest selling point. If you're just starting to learn recording (or you're a seasoned vet) this would be the daw i recommend!
Version 4 is a great update to an already great DAW. The upgrades to Impact XT, SampleOne XT and Presence XT is awesome, I've also purchased the Presence XT Editor upgrade: https://shop.presonus.com/Presence-XT-Editor Enabling unlimited creative possibilities with scripting and the whole shebang. IMHO this should have been included, but, I got it for a nice price, so I figured, why not... The chord track and pattern editor are both great additions, making it easier to create beats and melodies.
