Everyone is into the Pearly Gates bridge PUP and the PG plus.... I decided to try the neck pickup in my Washburn.... wow. What a great vocal quality to this PAF-style neck. I would bet this would excel as a vintage output bridge with an even weaker PAF clone or T-Top at the neck. The more time I spend with this pickup the more I like it.
It feels like I died and went to heaven. I had awful single coil humbucker. Factory issued from a company called Skala (which I don't recommend at all). The new humbuckers are powerful, great sustain, great reaction time, clarity. I changed both neck and bridge. From a strat arranged to double Hummbockers
This pickup is great with my DimeBucker. They complement each other very well. Tones come through and articulate very well. The more you attack your strings the more it comes through the Pearly Gates. Nice smooth solos area also great when you have this pickup on your guitar.
This is one of my favorite humbuckers. Great tone and string pull isn't ridiculous like the distortion
The output is balanced and it is a rude version of the classic PAF tone. This was modeled after Billy Gibbon's 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard named Pearly Gates. Billy gave a friend a car so she could go to California and seek fame and fortune. She drove to California and sold the car and sent him the money. He used it to buy the guitar.
