this was my main deal for years
I sued SX from the time it came out up until I quit engineering professionally. I did my own MIDI music in it and I did all my location recording into it on a PC because I couldn't afford and didn't prefer macs for my own personal use. I also worked at one small studio that relied on SX during my time there although they've since switched to protools. This was a great piece of software. it sounds pretty good the way it handles the summing and for a 32 bit program its pretty easy on your memory. I find it back on my mixing machine because my best friend still relies on SX! He tracked a band with it and hired me to mix. I wanted to do stems so I could use 64 bit processing but he wanted me to stay in SX for when he wanted me to bring a mix back to his garage/warehouse/studio to use his different variety of outboard. Despite the limits of a 32 bit platform in memory usage and modern plugin selection I am really enjoying the SX experience and don't feel Cubase 8 is that big an improvement!
