The ultimate wah
To me this is the warmest wah. It is not a "tone-compromise" one.
It's the classic wah
Nice chrome finish. Unbeatable for rock, funk, and porn grooves. And it is a little less "common" than Cry Baby. Need I say more?

Sounds great but pot is of poor quality and its a feat to switch on

I like it
A very good wah at a very good price. these retail for either £65 or £70 I got mine used in extremely good condition for £35 I think it was on Ebay, may have been abit less or more. Has a very nice sweep and is silent. I have heard some people claim it sucks tone but I haven't noticed this myself. I wish there was more movement on the pedal as the sweep is very effective and does change the sound drastically but you can get used to it by being a bit more gentle and careful. its just one of those things where you need to get a feel for it I think. I was going to get the Crybaby Original but saw this on ebay and thought why not

Who knows? I have the bright switch on and the treble at 6 and tone at 7 so theres a hell of a lot of high end anyway so I probably don't notice or just don't mind it too much

This is what the Thomas Organs sound like.
I love the V847A which has a vocal sounding inductor and there is a smooth grit to this wah. I will use this as a semi cocked wah to emphasize specific frequencies.

Massive sweep, brilliant tone, this is a classic for a reason!
Although I'm not a massive user of a wah pedal, I like to have the option there if I fancy using it. I chose the Vox V847 because of the wide sweep range, and was not disappointed! The range is really massive, so you can get a crazy variety of sounds out of it.
The only problem I find is that the pedal itself doesn't actually move that far, so in a very small movement you sweep a wide tonal range. I like having that range, but I find it very hard to control with such small movements! This is probably just my clumsiness, but I find it a little restrictive.
Soundwise, brilliant! Practically, I struggle a bit but hey practice makes perfect!

Good
I've been using the cry baby GCB-95, but I prefered this pedal for the songs that I play nowadays.

I've owned or borrowed a number of crybabies but my first wah was a v847 and it sounded great until the inductor developed a nasty crackle mid-sweep... the crybabies are better made, but the vox has a certain something I prefer. I always feel like I'm composing a porno soundtrack when I engage the wah though, so I pretty much gave up on the whole thing.

A nice classic wah
A very well made pedal. A little less sharp than the v846hw, but a little more punch. And it has a power supply connection finally.

the 847 is Vox's best "split the difference wah".... I swore by mine for years before I got fed up with wah. Needs a unity gain buffer in wah mode and true bypass though.... mine was a tone eater.

I had a v846hw which was wonderfully refined, it got stolen and i decided to try another model. I feel a bit of tone suck, but it really roars. Used to have a standard cry baby but it feels much colder than Vox to me.
Great Petal
We all want to be Jimi Hendrix, and you can not do that without this petal.
Good Friend
I like how it sounds, and always loved the Wah effect so it suits my needs.

rolls eyes I like to roll my eyes... but in spite of that, write a legit review next time
satisfied!
i bought this pedal a few weeks ago and it is way better than the ibanez one I had! Great choice!

Alto wah
Pega altos alaridos, el recorido es medio corto, pero bue, no alcanza para un crybaby xd
Look no further for vintage wah sounds
It nails that Hendrix kinda vibe. I noticed that your original tone would come through more in this, than it would in a Fasel inductor wah. If you're into that kind of wah wah sound, this is a pretty accessible treat that can have you all set. You can never go wrong with it.
a good wah pedal to mod
Look it sounds great and it is really pretty, but not having a true bypass is messing my sound. everytime i turn it off all my other pedals lose their powerful sound which makes me not turn off the wah pedal.the other thing is that is very heavy and it doesnt have a led... so use it to mod the shit out

Vox Wah Chassis and Pot with Red Fasel and '67 Crybaby Circuit
I repaired an original 1967 Crybaby that sounded so good I A/B-ed it with my Vox and changed parts until it sounded about 98% identical!

It's just the best Wah ever IMO.
I love this Vox wah pedal. especially with a bit of overdrive... it give a sort of gritty or growling tone!

when I flirted with wah I played a 90s v847, really sounded great through a distorted amp but not as good as a crybaby with fuzz or played clean, cool pedal

Yeah, same here. Most of the time I've used wah it's always had a bit of overdrive. And this pedal just gave the sound I liked. But Cry baby does sound better clean for sure!

mine really pulled off great swervedriver type of sounds vs a crybaby classic... there are better options than the V847 for that 90s throaty sound these days, but the voxes are sooooo cheap

VOX V847
Espectro de filtro mas suave. Un poco duro para pisár el switch, pero nada que no se pueda modificár.
Clean and crisp
Sounds great. Got a little crackly, but I dialed back the pot and cleaned and it sounds grand.

Like Hendrix used!
I use the Vox wah in my Hendrix setup. It's a little different from a Dunlop Crybaby.

Vox wah my choice of wah effect.
Loved it from the start. The warm wah sound suits perfect to my guitar sound.

Such a fantastic pedal! It has its own sound and I love the Vox brand. I have bought 3 over my lifetime!

I agree, I also have a Crybaby but influences the tone to much. Crybaby works great with a lot of gain.

Mine makes weird noises
Needs to be used frequently to avoid strange noises and squeeking.

Quite good
I used this pedal during 2015. It hasn't a/c input so this pedal not pass for "extreme" pedalboard. This pedal is good to play at home or for recordings in studio.

Classic sound wah-wah pedal
To be pleasant to me simplicity, appearance with alyuminevy inserts. classical sound of the sixtieth

great tone, shitty QC
This was the first wah pedal I ever owned in the 90s. Previously I had a morely on loan from the abssist in my highschool jazzband. I loved the sound of my vox but it had a scratchy pot from the factory. The treadle was really tight when I got it but I couldn't manage to loosen it to where I wanted it. It was always either to stiff or too loose. I never really became much of a wah payer because this pedal really bummed me out action-wise. The tone, when I ignored the scratchiness, was superb. Less porno, more pyro. Bypass was awful... I eventually had it true bypassed and had the pot replaced but I was so not into wah at that point and I traded it to my best friend for a 2nd gen small stone that I enjoyed a lot more and kept for a good 20 years. Love the modern vox wah sound. Hate the quality control. This pedal turned me off to wah as an every day effect and I don't even keep a wah on my board to this day.
Classic
It's the classic Vox Wah without an AC jack to muddle up the circuit. Battery life is great if you unplug the input when you're not using it. (I've had the same battery for over a year) It sounds like it should and has the softer switch on the toe. It comes with a cool bag too!
