David Ellefson use the ZOOM B3 Bass Effects & Amp Simulator pedal to play at Home or on tour bus during 2012, also he created many of the D patches, one of the them is the D0 patch called Crunch Fuz. Recently, with Metal Allegiance you can see a David´s pic playing with the ZOOM B3 while he plays with Mike Portnoy and Alex Skolnick.more
The two things I love about this effects unit are the USB out and the DI out. I can connect straight to my PC and record, or just jam along with PC audio. The DI out is great for live performance, and I can send pre- or post-effects to FOH. I currently use the 160 Comp, always on, and I have a flanger and chorus set up for when I need them.
It's kind of annoying that to loop you have to be in a different mode than to switch patches. It means changing patches while looping can be tricky.
I like being able to make a patch beforehand and save it to the board. But, you can't change the patches very much in a live setting.
Good to have tempo and drum beats in it. Sound is how should I say.. too electronic for my taste.
After switching to analog, it is sitting in the drawer.
One big plus is the XLR our.. direct to the PA....
