Studio 49 Musikinstrumentenbau GmbH is a German manufacturer of Orff Schulwerk instruments and concert percussion based in Gräfelfing, near Munich. The company traces its origins to a collaboration between composer Carl Orff and instrument maker Karl Maendler before World War II, who built the first xylophones used in Orff's pioneering music education work at the Güntherschule. After the war, mechanical engineering student Klaus Becker-Ehmck began producing the instruments commercially, taking the name Studio 49 from the year the workshop was established and laying the cornerstone of a dedicated factory in 1956.

The company is best known for its handcrafted Orff classroom instruments — soprano, alto, and bass xylophones, metallophones, and glockenspiels with rosewood, padouk, or fiberglass bars — that are widely used in elementary music education around the world. Alongside the Orff line, Studio 49 builds Royal Percussion concert instruments including marimbas, vibraphones, concert glockenspiels, and timpani, as well as a range of unpitched hand percussion. The instruments are tuned at the factory and emphasize long-term tuning stability and durability suitable for daily classroom use.
