One of my favorites in a long time.
I am an experienced musician who has been active since 2014 and this is my experience with this pedal....
I have been using this distortion pedal for 3 years now and the impression it has left me with is quite good, I acquired it at a garage sale while looking for a small amp a few years ago but instead of I felt like I found gold.
I have not found any other pedal that comes close to it in terms of tone and gain, plus it is almost Noiseless with my EMG H4s passive pickups of my 6 strings guitar and even the EMG808 active ones I use on my 8 string guitar, I must say it sounds good with basically any tuning.
The only thing I could give me for a negative opinion is that the sound seems to be always compressed, it can be good or bad, I have used it to record and to play live and in my case it was something positive, the only thing I would change would be to be able to change the amount of compression and I would add a High Shelf control since the tone knob is like a weird Contour knob that exaggerates the treble quite a bit.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
I always use it with my guitar tuned in Drop B or E Standard for the 8 strings guitar. The "Tone" knob at 0% and I compensate for the loss of brightness by activating the "Bright" switch of the amp (or directly turning up the "Treble,") "Low" and "Boost" knobs both at 75-80% with the "Gain" variates between 60% and 100% depending on what I'm playing. It also sounds better by connecting directly to the FX Loop.
