Laminate Spruce top, and Maple back and sides. This guitar is bright with tons of volume. Amazing clarity as the notes right out like bells. Not too much in terms of warmth or overtones. Mine is from 1984 and has some wear on the frets and some issues with the neck.
Sold spruce top, Mahogany back and sides. Basically a Martin D-18 but made overseas. Mine is from ~1980
The build quality and playability is really great. Tone is a bit warm and dark from the cedar top. French brand. Made in China.
This guitar sold for about $115 in the 1970's. Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Sounds OK.
