My Gear 6

I've owned this amp for about 5 years. I bought it originally because I needed a practice amp that was kinda small and easy to transport. I ended up liking it so much that I bought a 1x12 extension cabinet and a Floorboard controller. This little amp is a power house, I can get great tone (anything from Marshall grind to Fender clean).
I picked this guitar up used in 1978. The guy who bought it new couldn't keep up with the payments and the shop repoed it. Mine is white and came in the standard Gibson hardshelI case. I added a TP-6 fine tuning tailpiece and speed knobs. The neck on this axe is laser straight and the action is perfect up and down the fingerboard. I absolutely love this guitar. It has that Les Paul crunch and sustain but won't kill your shoulder the way a Les Paul will. This is one of the last Kalamazoo SGs.
I bought this guitar brand new in 1978. At that time you could buy a Martin dreadnaught for about $1300 and I gave over $1000 for this Takamine. At the time the quality control at Martin wasn’t great and the F360 was better quality and had better sound. I’ve never regretted choosing the Takamine over the Martin (or Gibson for that matter) and over the years the sound has mellowed like good bourbon.
