Akkezdet Phiai is a pioneering underground hip-hop group hailing from Budapest, Hungary, known for their innovative blend of contemporary poetry and hip-hop beats. The duo consists of Saiid (Süveg Márk) and Újonc (Závada Péter), who first came together in 1996 under the name Higher Tone Alliance. Saiid, who initially worked as a DJ, began producing music, leading to the duo's collaborative effort in crafting tracks and lyrics. Their debut album, Akkezdet, was a milestone in Hungarian hip-hop, notable for its inclusion of a lyrics booklet and produced largely by Saiid, with contributions from producers like Fari of Streetnoyz.
