Ankor is a dynamic metalcore and alternative metal band hailing from Catalonia, Spain, known for their energetic performances and genre-blending sound. Formed in 2003 in the small village of Els Pallaresos near Barcelona, the group features Jessie Williams from Bristol, UK, as their powerful frontwoman and screamer, Eleni Nota from Athens, Greece, on drums, David Romeu and Fito Martinez on guitars and vocals, and Julio López on bass. With roots in both Spanish metal and metal català, Ankor has built a substantial international following, evolving their sound across multiple albums such as Beyond the Silence of These Years and White Dragon.
