About
Beseech is a Swedish musical group known for their evocative blend of doom metal, gothic rock, symphonic metal, and dark rock. Originating from Borås, Sweden, Beseech was initially formed in the early 1990s and underwent a significant transformation in 2012 when original members Klas Bohlin (vocals) and Robert Vintervind (guitar) revived the band. They were soon joined by Manne Engström (guitar), reinforcing their signature sound that merges melancholic themes with a mature, modern twist. The group is celebrated for their ability to weave intricate, atmospheric soundscapes that echo their critically acclaimed past work while exploring new musical territories.
How to Sound Like Beseech
To capture Beseech's sound, one should focus on their dark, atmospheric sonic landscape, characterized by rich, layered guitar textures and an overarching melancholic tone. The combination of heavy, down-tuned riffs and ethereal, symphonic elements creates a dynamic contrast that defines their music. Achieving this requires the use of overdrive and distortion pedals for the heavier segments, while reverb and delay effects add depth and space to the more melodic parts. The vocal delivery is haunting and emotive, often supported by lush, symphonic backdrops that can be emulated with synth pads or orchestral arrangements. Employing tube amplifiers can enhance the warmth and depth of the guitar tones, complementing the dark, brooding basslines and dramatic percussion that anchor their compositions.
