About
Blue Planet Corporation is a pioneering electronic music project originating from France, known for its intricate blend of trance, acid techno, and psytrance. The group was initially formed by Gabriel Masurel, who previously played drums in various alternative and indie bands before delving into electronic music production in the late 1980s. Alongside collaborators Christophe Le Bras and Sebastien Masurel, Blue Planet Corporation released influential EPs in the early 1990s that solidified their reputation in the international trance scene. Although Gabriel Masurel later took the helm as the primary producer, the project has continually evolved, contributing to compilations and remixing for notable artists.
How to Sound Like Blue Planet Corporation
Blue Planet Corporation's sound is characterized by layered, hypnotic melodies and pulsating rhythms that create a mesmerizing auditory experience. To achieve this, musicians can focus on using synthesizers with rich, analog warmth to craft complex, evolving soundscapes. Incorporating analog delay and reverb effects can enhance the spatial depth and immersive quality of their music. The use of acidic basslines and syncopated, driving beats provides the energetic backbone typical of trance and psytrance genres. By emphasizing dynamic modulation and intricate sequencing, artists can capture the fluid, yet structured essence of Blue Planet Corporation's style, embodying the fusion of organic and synthetic textures that defines their sound.
