Boyz n da Hood is an influential American hip hop group known for their gritty portrayal of Southern street life, rooted in the aggressive and energetic styles of Southern hip hop and crunk. Originating from Atlanta, the group was formed by Russell "Block" Spencer and initially comprised of four members: Miguel "Big Gee" Scott, Lee "Big Duke" Dixon, Jay "Young Jeezy" Jenkins, and Jacoby "Jody Breeze" White. The ensemble gained momentum after signing with P. Diddy's Bad Boy label, releasing their self-titled debut album in 2005. Following Young Jeezy's departure to focus on his solo career, Gorilla Zoe joined the lineup for their second album, Back Up N da Chevy.
