Churchill is an indie folk-rock band originating from Denver, Colorado. The group was initially founded in 2008 by Tim Bruns (vocals, guitar) and Michael Morter (mandolin). By their 2009 live debut, Churchill had expanded into a sextet, incorporating elements like cello, piano, bass, and drums to enrich their sound. Their music is known for its rustic, Americana-tinged storytelling, drawing comparisons to acts such as the Avett Brothers and Band of Horses.
