About
Clannad is an Irish group renowned for their pioneering blend of traditional Celtic music, folk, and New Age sounds. Formed in 1970 in the village of Gweedore, County Donegal, the band features members from the Brennan family: Máire Brennan (vocals, harp), Ciarán Brennan (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), and Pól Brennan (guitar, percussion, flute, vocals), along with their uncles Pádraig Duggan (guitar, vocals, mandolin) and Noel Duggan (guitar, vocals). Known for their ethereal soundscapes, Clannad gained international acclaim with works like the theme for the TV series Harry's Game and collaborations with artists such as Bono from U2.
