De la Tierra is a powerhouse metal band with deep Latin American roots, formed in 2012. The group is an amalgamation of celebrated musicians from diverse backgrounds, featuring Andrés Giménez (vocals, guitar) from A.N.I.M.A.L., Andreas Kisser (guitar, vocals) from Sepultura, Alex González (drums) from Maná, and Harold Hopkins Miranda (bass, vocals) from Puya, who replaced Sr. Flavio in 2017. Their music is a ferocious blend of metal, alternative metal, groove metal, nu metal, and Latin metal, delivering a dynamic sound that bridges cultural and musical landscapes.

De la Tierra’s sound is characterized by its aggressive yet groove-laden metal aesthetic, combining intricate rhythms with heavy, driving riffs. The band's sonic character is both powerful and melodic, balancing the raw intensity of metal with Latin-infused rhythms. Andreas Kisser's guitar work often employs the Mesa/Boogie Triaxis Guitar Preamp and Marshall JCM800 2203 to create a rich, high-gain tone that cuts through the mix with clarity and force. The MXR M104 Distortion+ adds a gritty edge, enhancing the band's signature blend of raw power and rhythmic complexity. Meanwhile, the drums and bass provide a tight, thunderous foundation, propelling their music with relentless energy and precision.
