Their debut album Caught in a Life propelled them to fame, with singles like "Ambitions" and "Sometimes" dominating the Norwegian charts. Over the years, they have continued to evolve their sound with subsequent albums such as Silver Moon and Lost, while members Cato and Kent Sundberg have also explored production and songwriting through their project, Rat City.
How to Sound Like Donkeyboy
Donkeyboy's sound is characterized by bright, synth-driven melodies that are often layered with shimmering guitar lines and upbeat, rhythmic percussion. Their music maintains a clean and polished production style, where synthesizers play a central role, providing a lush and dynamic sonic backdrop. Guitars in Donkeyboy's tracks often employ chorus and reverb effects to create a spacious and melodic texture, while the drums deliver a punchy yet controlled energy that complements the infectious grooves. To capture their vibrant and polished pop-rock sound, musicians might focus on combining digital synth sounds with clean guitar tones and tight, well-produced drum tracks, ensuring each element contributes to a cohesive and engaging musical experience.
