How to Sound Like Donots
Donots’ sound is characterized by aggressive guitar riffs and driving rhythms, creating a dynamic and energetic sonic landscape. The band's guitars, often handled by Guido Knollmann, deliver a punchy and robust tone, achieved through the use of instruments like the ESP Eclipse I CTM Vintage Black and the ESP Reverse Stratocaster "Delacustom". This setup contributes to their gritty, yet melodic sound, which is further enhanced by distortion and overdrive effects. The rhythm section pushes forward with a relentless drive, anchored by tight bass lines and energetic drumming that together form the backbone of their music. Donots’ ability to fuse catchy hooks with a raw punk edge makes them a standout in the rock genre.
