Originating from Detroit in the late 1990s, the group initially performed under the name Wildbunch before adopting their current moniker. The founding members include Dick Valentine (vocals), Rock and Roll Indian (guitar), Surge Joebot (guitar), Disco (bass), and M. (drums), with Tait Nucleus? (keyboards) joining later. Electric Six's music is a vibrant mix of rock, alternative rock, indie rock, garage rock, and dance-punk, characterized by their high-energy compositions and tongue-in-cheek lyrics. The band gained international fame with hits like "Danger! High Voltage" and "Gay Bar," and continues to captivate audiences with their relentless touring and prolific recording schedule.
