About
Emphatic is an American rock band originating from Omaha, Nebraska, known for their energizing mix of alternative rock, hard rock, post-grunge, and hard alternative, often dubbed "gymcore" for its high-energy, motivational sound. The band was founded in 2004 by guitarist Justin McCain and initially featured Patrick Wilson on vocals. Over the years, they expanded their lineup to include Dylan Wood (drums), Alan Larson (bass), and Lance Dowdle (guitar) for their major label debut. Despite facing setbacks, including lineup changes and label issues, Emphatic continued to evolve, eventually enlisting members such as Toryn Green, Bill Hudson, Jesse Saint, and Patrick Mussack, before transitioning into the band Through Fire.
