GLAY is a renowned Japanese rock band that originated in Hakodate, Hokkaido. The group, which has been a significant force in the J-rock and J-pop scenes, was formed in 1988 by guitarist TAKURO and vocalist TERU. They were later joined by guitarist HISASHI in 1989 and bassist JIRO in 1992, solidifying the lineup that would propel them to fame. GLAY's music is a compelling blend of rock, pop rock, J-pop, J-rock, and visual kei, characterized by their dynamic range and emotive melodies that resonate with a wide audience.
