Hämatom is a German metal band renowned for their intense, theatrical performances and their fusion of Neue Deutsche Härte, medieval rock, and medieval metal. Formed in 2004, the band consists of four enigmatic members who go by the pseudonyms Nord (vocals), Sued (guitar), West (bass), and Ost (drums). Their music is characterized by aggressive melodies and socially charged lyrics, drawing influence from both traditional metal and medieval themes. Hämatom's unique concept of anonymity, achieved through masks and pseudonyms, places emphasis on the music and performance, creating an immersive experience for their audience.

Hämatom's sound is raw, aggressive, and dynamic, often blending heavy, distorted guitar riffs with pounding rhythm sections. The guitar work, primarily driven by Sued, utilizes crushing distortion and powerful chugging, reminiscent of the industrial metal scene.
