About

Hämatom is a German metal band renowned for their intense, theatrical performances and their fusion of Neue Deutsche Härte, medieval rock, and medieval metal. Formed in 2004, the band consists of four enigmatic members who go by the pseudonyms Nord (vocals), Sued (guitar), West (bass), and Ost (drums). Their music is characterized by aggressive melodies and socially charged lyrics, drawing influence from both traditional metal and medieval themes. Hämatom's unique concept of anonymity, achieved through masks and pseudonyms, places emphasis on the music and performance, creating an immersive experience for their audience.

How to Sound Like Hämatom

Hämatom's sound is raw, aggressive, and dynamic, often blending heavy, distorted guitar riffs with pounding rhythm sections. The guitar work, primarily driven by Sued, utilizes crushing distortion and powerful chugging, reminiscent of the industrial metal scene. To achieve this, Sued might employ high-gain amplifiers and distortion pedals, creating a dense and formidable guitar tone. The bass, played by West, is equally forceful, providing a deep, resonant undercurrent that complements the band's heavy sound. A bass like the Warwick Streamer Stage I contributes to this robust low-end presence. The drums are thunderous and precise, with Ost delivering intricate patterns that enhance the band’s relentless energy. Hämatom's music thrives on its visceral intensity and theatrical flair, making distortion, powerful riffs, and dynamic rhythms essential for capturing their electrifying style.
