How to Sound Like Hi‐STANDARD
Hi-STANDARD's sound is characterized by its energetic and melodic punk edge, driven by powerful guitar riffs and fast-paced rhythms. Their music captures a raw, yet polished vibe, with a blend of both aggressive and catchy melodies. Ken Yokoyama's use of Gretsch G6136T Kenny Falcon II and Gibson Les Paul Custom Randy Rhoads VOS contributes to their dynamic sound, offering a mix of clean and distorted tones that cut through the mix. Bass lines and drum patterns are tight and driving, providing a solid backbone that complements the high-energy guitar work. This combination of punchy riffs and rhythmic precision creates a sound that is both infectious and enduring, appealing to fans of punk's varied subgenres.
