IZAL is a Spanish band known for their unique blend of indie, Latin rock, Spanish pop, and cantautor influences. Formed in late 2010 by musicians from various prior projects, the group hails from Spain and features Mikel Izal on vocals and electric guitar, Alberto Pérez handling electric and acoustic guitars, lap steel, and backing vocals, Emanuel Pérez “Gato” on bass and backing vocals, Alejandro Jordá on drums and percussion, and Iván Mella on Hammond organ, acoustic piano, Moog, and synthesizers. Their eclectic sound draws on a wide array of influences, earning them a dedicated following in the Spanish music scene.
